The
6,000 square foot main house is the stuff of dreams, a
grownup's vision of his boyhood tree house, soaring three
stories above the island. The expansive lodge-style stilt
structure features one massive great room with custom milled
knotty pine interiors and vaulted ceilings and a tin roof. A
360-degree wrap-around wood planked screened verandah
appointed with hammocks, picnic tables, and a porch
swing-all perfect vantage points to marvel at pink, lavender
and fiery orange sunrises and sunsets. French doors and
virtually disappearing windows open the house completely to
the sea air. A central cores houses the restaurant-style
kitchen and guest bath. Footbridges from the main house lead
to rustic-style sleeping pavilions housing four bedrooms and
two baths. |
